New Staff & Volunteer Checklist

All new staff and volunteers will undergo a screening process consisting of:

  1. The completion of an application.
  2. A face-to-face interview with at least 2 staff.
  3. Current Criminal Record and a Vulnerable Sector checks.
  4. Sign a declaration of confidentiality.
  5. Sign a disclaimer affirming participation in education, training/orientation courses and team meetings.

Staff must complete the following as part of the hiring process:

  1. Obtain a copy of:
    • Criminal Record & Vulnerable Sector Check
    • Void cheque for direct deposit
  2. Signed copies of:
    • Declaration of Confidentiality (staff signature also required)
    • Education & Training Disclaimer
  3. Confirm phone number and e-mail for work
  4. Write letter of offer and sign together (if staff)
