Office Information
Our Rooms
- We have two rooms for offices (Room 101 & 103) and two classrooms (Rooms 100 & 102).
- The other rooms in the building are used by the East Hants Family Resource Centre (EHFRC). They provide programs and services for parents and children in the East Hants region and we work closely together on a variety of programs.
Building Information
- The building is owned by the Municipality of East Hants and we rent our space here. If there are any issues related to the building, our contact with the Municipality is Evan MacDougall (902-883-6140 / emacdougall@easthants.ca). Please keep everyone informed if you find an issue and need to contact Evan.
- One wing of the building is not currently occupied. It occasionally is used for temporary activities such as elections and was briefly used for childcare. We are not aware of the reason it is not used more regularly.
- There are two entrances to the building. The front door is to remained locked at the request of the EHFRC. During working hours, we unlock the back door. The Allen key to do this is located on the metal shelf by the entrance of room 101. Please ensure the back door is locked if you are the last person to leave the building.
- One side of the back door (left outside/right inside) is not to be used, as it is difficult to seal properly and can result in us being unable to lock the back door.
Photocopier & Freezers
- The photocopier in the hall is available for all staff to use. If you would like a tutorial on how to use it, please contact Phil (ehcrcommunications@gmail.com) and he will walk you through it.
- We currently have two freezers that are used to store frozen meals for the community. This Community Freezer is available for anyone that reaches out. Note that we limit meals to a maximum of two meals per person per visit to ensure we can keep up with demand. The hours for the Community Freezer are Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 3 p.m.
