April is here and the feeling of spring is already in the air. Along with that feeling of spring is a whole host of activities starting up. Have a look and see what’s going on in and around East Hants for the month to come.
In addition to our regular programs through Community Learning, Community Rider and the Community Garden, we’re happy to discuss community-based classes and events. Don’t hesitate to reach out if you have an idea for a workshop or skill you’d like to learn.
This year, they will have over 10,000 eggs, 2 standard egg hunts at 10:30 a.m. and 1 p.m. and a sensory hunt at 12 p.m. Registration is open until 15 minutes before each hunt. Cost is $5 for children 4 and older, $3 for children under 4. Come early if you can! Bring your basket and best of luck!
There will also be a BBQ and bake sale, fun and games. They are also currently holding an online auction which is open until April 7th.
Every year, East Hants Family Resource Centre creates beautiful flower arrangements in teapots to raise funds for their organization. They are getting ready for another year and with that comes a call for teapots of all shapes and sizes.
If you have a teapot you would like to contribute, give EHFRC a call at 902-883-4349. Keep an eye out for details on the fundraiser – it’s a fantastic way to show some love to your mom and support a great cause!

Often, one of the biggest challenges in our busy world is to get recognized amidst the hustle and bustle. People are more distracted than ever and advertising costs lots of money to reach the right audience.
In an effort to raise funds for our programs, we have vastly expanded our Corporate Support Program to include a variety of ways for you to get promoted while helping us bring much needed programs to our community.
Some examples of recognition include:
$500 – A link to your Facebook page and your logo on a Facebook post for funding a re-fill of our Community Freezer
$450-$750 – Advertise on the side of a Community Rider van for one year/50,000 km, whichever comes first
$500 – Get your ad in this newsletter once a month for a year! Great opportunity to be paired with local community content
