December 2019

December 2019
Seasons greetings!

Things are ramping up around the Community Rider for the holiday season. Whether it’s shopping, events or travel for the holidays, our vehicles are out on the road ensuring everyone has access to transportation.

Do you know someone that would benefit from access to transportation? There are plenty of ways you can help Community Rider to continue to offer affordable transportation:

  • Volunteer to drive a few hours each week
  • Cover the cost of rides to a local event or business
  • Donations help us stay afloat and keep rates affordable

Every little bit helps. If you are interested in supporting local causes, ours is one that touches lives each and every day. Call our office at 902-883-4716 to find out more.

Thanks for being a caring community. Best wishes to you and yours for the holiday season!

Giving Back to the Garden

2019 has been an amazing year for the Elmsdale Community Garden. We held pop up markets all over East Hants, promoted healthy living through physical activities, and put fresh produce on 2,474 plates. WOW!

We couldn’t have done it without the contributions of generous donations, community-minded partners and dedicated supporters. Thank you to everyone who gave their time and energy to provide for local families.

With 2020 just around the corner, we’re already planning for next year. We would love to build a greenhouse to give our plants a head start and donations allow us to spend more time and effort to reach more people in need.

With this in mind, consider making a donation to the Elmsdale Community Garden this Giving Tuesday, December 3rd. Every dollar counts. Check out our donation page:

Thank you from all of us!
