January 2020

January 2020
Happy New Year!

Wishing you a year of prosperity and happiness for 2020. Our services have had a few days of rest over the holidays, but we’re all eager to be back to work and providing valuable services to all the communities we are connected with.

From opening doors to education to granting greater access to transportation in the community to improving food security, we’re hitting the ground running this year. If you would like to get involved, we’d love to hear from you.

If you’re in our new service area (HRM communities between Enfield and Waverley), we’ll be holding office hours near you, in the Gordon R. Snow Community Centre. Drop in on Fridays, starting January 10th, from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.

If Fridays don’t work for you, please reach out! We’d love to connect with local groups and businesses to find out how we can better serve the community.

Hope that the New Year has started on a good note and best wishes for all the days to come!

FREE Rock Painting Workshop
Friday, January 17th
10 a.m. to 12 noon

The Elmsdale Community Garden can look a little bleak in the winter time. Let’s bring some colour back to it and have some fun with painting rocks!

Bring the whole family to this FREE workshop. We’ll also show you how to connect to a whole community of rock painters throughout the Maritimes and Canada. This is a great hobby for the winter months: stock up on rocks to place when the weather turns nice again.

To sign up yourself and your family, please contact East Hants Community Learning, as space is limited:
