Summer has arrived! School is out, holidays are in and the weather is heating up. We hope you will have some time to get outside and enjoy the many beautiful days ahead.
While our Community Learning programs are on pause, there’s still plenty going on around our office. The Community Garden is in full bloom and pop up markets are on their way. The Community Rider vehicles are still running the roads and we even have a few weddings that we’ll be assisting with transportation.
Summer is also a time for reflection and planning. We review programs, review feedback and put together plans for the year ahead. This is a great time to reach out with ideas for programs – please let us know if there’s something you would like to see us offer to the community.

Join us for a Pop up Market
at the Elmsdale Community Garden
Thursday, July 11th
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Spring is here and the Elmsdale Community Garden is growing fast! We’ll be holding several pop up markets in July, with the first one happening on Thursday, July 11th from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the garden (224 Highway 214 in Elmsdale, behind the old school building). There will be free fresh fruits and vegetables while supplies last.
Everyone is welcome at our pop up markets. All we ask is for the number of people fed with the produce you bring home. This allows us to report how many people the garden helps feed every year and apply for funds to hold events throughout the year. We also happily accept donations!
Interested in hosting a pop up market? We love to set up at different locations and give access to free food to as many people as possible.
